Da denkt man gerade, man hat die Kurve gekriegt, kann wieder vernünftig weiterarbeiten, und dann das:
Bei Perun las ich heute, die Version 2.8 von WordPress sei freigegeben und er habe keinerlei Probleme mit dem UpDate gehabt.
Perun ist für mein Dafürhalten einer der wenigen wirklichen deutschsprachigen Experten für WordPress.
Also wagte ich mutig auch den Schritt über die automatische Update-Funktion, alles lief zunächst glatt, als ich aber ein erstes PlugIn updaten wollte, das nextgen-gallery, erhielt ich nur noch eine weiße Seite im Browser zurück …

… mein Server sei überlastet.

So’n Quatsch!
Der tut doch kaum was, lümmelt nur faul rum.

Nachforschungen ergaben einen „Fehler 320 (net::ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE): Unbekannter Fehler.“

Meinen Provider kontaktiert, via Skype.
Der unterstützte mich allerdings überhaupt nicht, ich bin stinksauer…!

Ich lud also wieder die 2.7.1-Version von WordPress auf den Server, juhu, die Seite war wieder erreichbar, jedoch – welch ein Schock! – die meisten Links führten auf unerwünschte Ziele oder lieferten gleich einen 404-Error.

„Worst Case“!

Mit tatkräftiger Unterstützung eines Kumpels aus meiner Mac-Mailing-Liste bei macosxpert.de – er ist selber Provider – konnte dann die letzte Datensicherung vom 14.05.2009 eingespielt werden.
Gut

Die letzten Tage stelle ich dann morgen oder übermorgen händisch wieder her, kein Problem, habe Kopien auf meinem lokalen MAMP-Server.

Hier kurz, was heute stattfindet, ich weiß, viele gucken erst so gegen 21h – 22h hier rein :

two „real“ letters, …

… nothing!

Even for the „spanish way of life“ it’s a smut.

By now I’m pretty shure, the Yoigo® Company (Xfera Moviles S.A.) hires mostly cost-cutting illiterates as shure as I am all dentists are sadists … though that’s another story
